A gap on the highway can look wide enough, but wait half a second too long and another car is already flying past. Crazy Intersection on Woko Games is a highway merging game from wey.game where the real challenge is not driving fast. It is knowing exactly when to pull into traffic.
Each run starts out pretty simple. Cars keep moving along the main road while other vehicles appear from side streets. You have to watch the spacing, wait for a safe opening, and merge without crashing. It sounds easy, but one bad read on another car’s speed can end the run almost instantly.
I like how the game turns an ordinary traffic situation into a reaction test. Sometimes a gap looks huge, but the car in the next lane is moving faster than you expected. On the other hand, if you wait too long for the “perfect” opening, you can easily miss several chances that were actually safe.
You can also collect coins while driving. Those coins carry over and can be used in the garage. That gives you another small goal besides simply surviving and getting farther. I often found myself trying to line up a coin pickup without putting the car in a bad position.
The garage currently shows 6 vehicles: Mail Car, Truck, Van Car, Van Car+, Taxi, and Green Car. Each one has its own level and can be upgraded with coins. I like this part because it gives you a reason to keep playing instead of just chasing a better score and quitting. Vehicle upgrades are also tied to the High Score system, so progression still connects back to the main gameplay.
There is also a progress bar between Level 1 and Level 2. As you keep making it through traffic, you move closer to the next stage. Numbers such as 30 or 50 can appear during a run, but I found myself watching the traffic more than anything else. Look away for a little too long and a crash can happen fast.
If you do crash, the game gives you the option to Revive or Skip. You can also earn coin rewards after a run, with an option to multiply the reward. It is a familiar mobile-style system, but it fits the short sessions in Crazy Intersection well: crash, collect rewards, upgrade a car, and jump back in.
The game uses a top-down view with roads, grass, buildings, and different types of vehicles moving through the area. The visuals are simple, but the cars are easy to read at a glance. For a game built around timing and distance, I prefer that clean look over a screen full of extra effects.
The moments that usually make me start another run are the close merges. Wait too long and you lose the opening. Go too early and you hit another car. Crazy Intersection on Woko Games turns every gap in traffic into one small question: “Can I go now?” Most of the time, you only have a second or two to decide.
