Inspired by the classic Snake game, Pixel Snake brings back the familiar gameplay with glowing pixel graphics and bright neon borders set against a dark background.
Your job is to guide the snake around the board, gobbling up red apples to raise your score and grow longer. The more it grows, the harder it becomes to turn without boxing yourself in. Hit a wall or run into your own tail, and the game is over.
The game offers four difficulty settings: Easy, Normal, Hard, and Extreme. The screen also keeps track of your current score, level, and best score. Pause and Reset buttons sit right below the playing field whenever you need to stop or start over.
The first few apples usually do not cause much trouble. Once the snake gets longer, even a routine turn can suddenly cut off your escape route. That is when Pixel Snake gets tense. You have to watch the tail closing in behind you instead of focusing only on the next apple.
