Almost all of us grew up obsessing over “spot the difference” puzzles in comic books or activity magazines, where beating the kid sitting next to you gave you bragging rights for the rest of the day. Scary Frankenstein Difference by STA on Woko Games brings that exact same feeling back, wrapping it in a goofy Halloween theme and turning it into a real nail-biter with a strict countdown timer.
The game lays out 10 stages on the level-select screen. You start out on Level 1 in that green square, chipping away at each stage to bust open the red padlocks on the rest. Along the way, you run into a whole crew of cartoon Halloween monsters: a gold-eyed black cat, web-spinning spiders, a mummy wrapped in bandages, and the big green, square-headed Frankenstein himself. Each stage challenges you to spot 7 differences between two side-by-side pictures before your one-minute timer (ticking down from 0:59) runs out.
Things get noticeably trickier by Level 2, with Frankenstein sluggishly stomping forward. At first, I thought I could just skim the screen and clear it in five seconds, but glancing up to see the clock hit 0:56 with my counter still stuck on 0 OF 7 gave me an immediate reality check. The discrepancies are sneaky as hell: a neck bolt tucked behind his collar, an extra mouth crease, forehead stitches, shoe soles, or subtle yellow slits in his eyes. Scanning every millimeter and nailing a spot, hearing that crisp chime as a bright red circle locks onto the target, feels super rewarding. Just do not start spamming random clicks out of panic. Wrong guesses drain that yellow bottom gauge fast and will boot you straight to a game over.
