Super Car Racing wastes no time pretending city streets are built for careful drivers. The moment the race starts, the red car charges toward the first corner with rival vehicles nearby and concrete barriers lining the road. Going fast is easy. Getting through the turn without scraping half the car along a wall is the real challenge.
Five modes give the racing some welcome variety: Sprint, Circuit, Time Trial, Knockout, and Speed Trap. Some put you directly against other cars, while others shift the pressure toward speed or the clock. The objectives change, but every mode rewards the same thing: staying under control when the road begins to tighten.
The third person camera sits close behind the car and keeps the next stretch of road in view. Position, lap count, speed, and time are displayed during the race without getting in the way. That information is useful, although checking the timer in the middle of a corner is a great way to introduce the front bumper to a barrier.
Handling is easy to understand but not especially forgiving. Late steering inputs can send the car into the edge of the track, and trying to take every corner flat out usually costs more time than it saves. Easing off the throttle, pointing the car toward the exit, and accelerating again feels slower at first. It is also much quicker than untangling yourself from the wall while the rest of the field drives away.
The urban tracks run between buildings, storefronts, and red and white barriers, leaving little room to recover from a messy overtake. Racing beside another car through a narrow section creates some of the gameβs better moments, since one bad move can send either driver off line. For a few seconds, you feel like a professional racer. Then the guardrail delivers its review.
