Instead of swapping two candies and waiting to see if they make a match, Sweet Match3 on Woko Games takes a more direct approach. You scan the board, find candies of the same type, then drag your mouse through them to make a chain. This match-3 game from RE GAMES uses a linker-style system, so the fun comes from spotting a long path before the timer eats up too much of your run.
The board uses a 6×6 grid, which means 36 candy tiles are on screen at once. It looks simple at first, but there are five candy designs to keep track of: red with yellow stripes, blue with multicolor waves, green with wavy lines, purple with yellow dots, and orange with stripes. The colors are bright enough that it does not take long to spot possible matches.
That linking system is what makes Sweet Match3 feel different from a standard match-3 game. Hold the mouse button and draw a path through matching candies that sit next to each other. You can connect them horizontally, vertically, or diagonally, as long as the next candy is the same type. Finding a longer chain feels especially good because one drag can clear a whole group and push your score up much faster than dealing with tiny three-candy matches.
I usually do not grab the first match I see. If I wait a second and look around, a chain of three can sometimes turn into four or five thanks to a diagonal connection that is easy to miss at first. That is probably my favorite part of the gameplay. The game is not demanding in terms of controls, but it does reward you for actually reading the board before you move.
Of course, you cannot stare at the grid forever. A Time counter sits below the board, so every round has a little pressure built in. Spend too long searching for the perfect chain and the clock keeps ticking. A few times, I had to settle for a smaller match simply because scoring something was better than thinking for too long and running out of time.
Your Score is shown right under the grid, so it is easy to keep track of how the run is going. The main screen also saves your Best Score and Last Score. In the screen shown, the Best Score is 5100 and the Last Score is 345. That gives the game a very clear goal: come back, play again, and try to beat the number you just left behind.
The visuals go all in on the candy theme. The mint-green background, large stars, and glossy candies make the whole screen bright and playful. It has the feel of an older casual browser game, but that actually works well with the fast pace. The candies stand out clearly against the blue tiles, so you can scan the board quickly without struggling to tell the colors apart.
The interface stays pretty clean too. You have pause, sound, score, and time, while most of the screen is reserved for the candy grid itself. For a game where every second is spent looking for the next path, I prefer this kind of layout over one packed with extra icons and menus.
The longer I played, the more I started looking for diagonal routes first. At the beginning, I mostly noticed matches going left, right, up, or down. After a while, the better chains were often the ones that cut diagonally across several tiles. That is when Sweet Match3 starts feeling less like a basic match-3 game and a little more like a quick path-finding puzzle.
Sweet Match3 on Woko Games does not need many rules to keep things moving. You have 36 tiles, five candy types, a ticking clock, and a Best Score waiting to be beaten. All that is left is to look fast, draw clean lines, and try not to spend too much time admiring the perfect chain. Seeing a six-candy match right as the timer hits zero is probably the sweetest kind of frustration this game can give you.
