A bathtub is floating through the city, alongside cars, a couch, and even a piano. With that much going on, the superhero girls can hardly sit around fixing their hair. Super Girl Salon on Woko Games is a casual HTML5 game that mixes beauty care with city rescues and a few oversized troublemakers.
You’ll team up with girls who wield fire, water, and nature powers, plus a fox, a deer, and a seal. The pets wear superhero outfits, too, and they’re happy to pitch in. Seeing them next to monsters that tower over buildings, you might wonder whether they’re up for the job. Then the little crew hauls a monster away in a net. Apparently, size isn’t everything.
In the river monster mission, the city is flooded and furniture is bobbing around everywhere. You interact with the objects indicated on screen to sort out the mess, one piece at a time. There’s work to do in the park as well, where fallen branches need clearing from the path. Watching the place get tidier is satisfying, even if your contribution to this superhero rescue mostly involves sitting back and clicking.
With cars and household junk scattered across the water, the pointing hand shows you what to tackle next. There’s no need to click frantically. Take each task as it comes and watch the magic do its thing. The pets deserve a little attention when they get involved, too. They look like the sort of animals you’d normally take care of, but here they’re the ones looking after an entire city.
The way the game handles its monsters is part of its charm. They cause plenty of trouble, but the girls’ goal is to catch them and help them become friendly citizens. The purple tentacled monster is enormous, yet its round eyes and grin make it look more like someone who got a little carried away. Watching the crew carry it off in a yellow net is funny rather than dramatic.
Away from the rescue missions, you can switch to everyday activities such as bathing, care routines, and cooking. Deal with a flood, head home, get cleaned up, then hit the kitchen. These superheroes don’t seem to get much downtime. Hopefully, the monsters can behave long enough for the girls to squeeze in a little pampering.
