Think smaller cars make racing easier? Think again, especially when you’re trying to pass a whole bunch of rivals on a track full of sharp turns! In TinyCars, you’ll race tiny cars around different tracks in a top-down arcade racing game. Published by Mapi Games, this racing game on Woko Games features 15 tracks and lets you compete against 6 opponents. Don’t let the size of these little cars fool you. One bad turn could cost you the lead in no time!
The controls in TinyCars are a little different from what you might expect. You don’t need to use the arrow keys like in most racing games. Instead, just click your mouse to make your car move, then point the cursor in the direction you want to go. Your car follows your mouse, so choosing the right direction around corners is pretty important. Feel free to pick up speed on the straightaways, but when you reach a tight turn, don’t go flying off the track just because you’re too busy chasing another car!
Each race takes place on a closed circuit, with several colorful little cars lined up at the starting line. You watch everything from above, making it easy to see the corners and where the other cars are on the track. The screen also shows your race time, current position, and lap count. In the race shown here, you’ll need to complete 8 laps to finish. I like the top-down view because you can see so much of the track at once. But when you spot another car right in front of you, it’s hard not to rush in for an overtake. And that’s usually when you end up taking a corner way too wide!
Racing in TinyCars isn’t just about going fast and making clean turns. You’ll also find shortcuts, teleporters, electric weapons, and nitro boosts to help you get ahead. Use them at the right moment, and you might make a comeback even when you’re falling behind. Imagine finally passing a rival around a corner, only to watch them hit the nitro and zoom right past you again. You really can’t relax until you’ve crossed that finish line!
There are 15 tracks to explore in TinyCars. The track selection screen shows numbers 1 through 15, with the first track available when you start. You can also check the High Scores section to see your results. If a race doesn’t go your way, there’s always the option to try again and improve your finishing position. After all, nobody wants to keep coming in fifth or sixth while everyone else crosses the finish line ahead of them!
The cars in TinyCars are so small that they almost look like toys from above, but each one has its own color, making them easy to tell apart. The track winds around green grass, fences, a small house, and a round pool in the middle. Yellow-and-black markings line some of the corners, while the starting line has that familiar black-and-white checkered pattern. The 2D, top-down graphics bring back memories of classic arcade racing games. You don’t need a fancy 3D cockpit when a bunch of tiny cars racing around a track can be this much fun!
If you enjoy racing games that are easy to control but still take a little skill, give TinyCars a try on Woko Games. Pick a track, get used to steering with your mouse, and see if you can beat the other drivers to the finish line. With 15 tracks waiting for you, there are plenty of chances to practice your turns and improve your results. The cars might be tiny, but the frustration of getting passed right before the finish line? That’s definitely not small!
