description Description

What can one tiny ball do against a bunch of squares, circles, and triangles? Quite a lot, actually, if you know where to aim! Physics balls is a physics-based ball-shooting puzzle game published by amongus and available on Woko Games. Your job is to shoot white balls into a play area filled with numbered shapes, break them apart, and rack up points. It sounds simple enough, but as more targets appear, you’ll need to think about your shots instead of just firing and hoping for the best.

The gameplay in Physics balls is pretty easy to pick up. You shoot balls from the top of the screen toward numbered shapes below. Each number tells you how many hits that shape needs before it disappears. For example, a square marked with a 4 needs to be hit four times to break. Balls can bounce between different targets, so a well-placed shot might take out several shapes at once. It’s pretty satisfying to watch those numbers drop from 3 to 2 to 1 before the shapes finally disappear!

With all those numbers involved, Physics balls can also be a fun way to introduce kids to basic math while they play. Every time a ball hits a numbered shape, its number goes down, just like a simple subtraction problem. For example, if a shape starts with 5 and gets hit twice, you can ask your child how many more hits it needs to disappear. Kids can practice counting, work on simple addition and subtraction, and think about which targets to aim for first. Parents can even join in and ask little math questions during the game, turning each shot into a fun learning opportunity instead of another boring math exercise.

The game is divided into rounds called STEPs. At first, there are only a few shapes on the screen, making it easy to see your targets and choose where to shoot. But the further you go, the more crowded things get. You’ll find squares near the edges, triangles in the middle, and circles with higher numbers that take more hits to destroy. My favorite moments are when a ball keeps bouncing between several shapes. Find the right angle, and you can clear a surprising number of targets without needing too many extra balls.

If things start getting difficult, Physics balls has a few power-ups at the bottom of the screen. You’ll see three icons: a stopwatch, a ball marked +1, and a lightning bolt. Each one has a limited number of uses, so don’t rush to use them all right away. When the screen starts filling up with shapes, saving a power-up for the right moment might come in handy. At the top of the screen, you’ll also find counters with trophy and diamond icons to help you keep track of your progress.

Besides breaking shapes, you can visit the shop to change how your ball looks. You start with a plain white ball, but the shop offers other designs, including stars, rings, gears, and some pretty unusual shapes. These designs can be unlocked with diamonds, with prices ranging from 250 to 900 diamonds. Personally, I think the star-shaped ball looks pretty funny. It seems more like a decoration than something you’d use to smash a bunch of shapes!

Physics balls keeps its graphics simple. The dark blue background, glowing neon outlines, and bright white balls give it an old-school arcade feel. The shapes come in shades of blue and teal, with white numbers in the center that are easy to read. As the balls move, small light effects and motion trails help you follow their paths. Even when several balls are bouncing around at once, the simple design makes it easy to keep an eye on the numbers and figure out which shapes you still need to destroy.

You might breeze through the first few STEPs, but a couple of poorly aimed shots can quickly make things harder to manage. If you can’t clear the targets and your run ends, a Game Over screen appears with your results, including the STEP you reached and the trophies you’ve earned. That’s usually when you start wondering whether a different shooting angle could have made all the difference. And before you know it, you’re ready to try again!

If you enjoy brick-breaking games or puzzles built around bouncing balls, give Physics balls a try on Woko Games. It’s also a fun option for parents who want to help their kids practice counting and simple math through gameplay. There aren’t many controls to learn. Just watch the screen, pick your angle, and try to destroy as many numbered shapes as possible before they overwhelm you. How many STEPs can you clear? Give it a shot, but don’t be surprised if one tiny ball has you doing more math than you expected!
