description Description

You head into a flower garden for a stroll, enjoy the evening sky, and expect to head home afterward. Your plan sounds pleasant enough until you reach a locked gate. You turn back to find someone who can open it, but nobody is around. Instead, you discover strange symbols on trees, rocks, and wooden boxes. Pretty Flower Garden Escape on Woko Games turns that quiet walk into a search for a way out. The flowers still look lovely and the sky is still bright, but getting home is now your problem. This HTML5 escape puzzle game from 8B Games/Games2Live uses familiar point-and-click controls. You inspect the scenery, collect items, and work through the garden’s puzzles with your mouse. The controls are easy to learn: you can click an odd-looking panel to examine it or move to the next area to explore. The trouble starts once you’ve opened several puzzles and have no idea what to enter. The garden gives you plenty to investigate, but the answers take more work.

The opening scene already presents a round panel with four slots among the pink flowers, empty recesses in a tree trunk, and a bone resting on a rock to the right. Birds cross the orange-yellow sky, making the whole place look like a decorative illustration. Once you notice the puzzle panels, though, you start seeing those details differently. Which way are the birds facing? What colors belong in those circles? You’ve barely moved, and you’re already keeping a mental checklist. The bone struck me as a sneaky little touch. It sits on its own and looks like something you can simply pick up. When you click it, however, a colored-block puzzle opens. What you thought would be a quick addition to your inventory becomes a routing problem. The board has blocks that need to reach matching spaces, while stone tiles obstruct their paths. You need to work out which routes are open, which blocks are blocking others, and how to approach the board. Spotting the destination is easy, but getting a block there takes some thought.

The circular panel calls for a different kind of attention. Its colored circles are large enough to interact with comfortably, but the panel itself doesn’t hand you the answer. Suddenly, those flower beds you passed deserve another look. You see pink flowers in one area and yellow flowers in another, and the colors decorating the garden also have a use in its puzzles. The easy mistake is remembering the colors but forgetting their order. You can notice every relevant detail and still get stuck because you’ve entered them in the wrong positions. Elsewhere, ladybugs sit on the grass near a panel of diagonal arrows. Farther along, a wooden box has diamond-shaped openings, with another set of circular slots nearby. Those shapes give you an idea of what to look for without solving anything outright. A directional puzzle gets you checking which way things face, while a distinctive opening sends you back to your collected items. Two objects sharing a scene don’t necessarily belong together, either.

Your inventory runs along the bottom of the screen, keeping collected items within view as you move between areas. Finding something new usually makes you want to use it immediately, especially if you remember an empty slot that looks like a good fit. Still, not knowing where an item belongs doesn’t necessarily mean you’ve made a mistake. The orange-roofed house remains locked, and there are boxes and panels left to investigate. The search feels a little like looking for something you’ve misplaced: each discovery reminds you of somewhere you’ve already checked. The iron gate makes your escape goal particularly clear. A large keyhole sits in the middle, with a number panel and symbols on either side. Having the exit right in front of you without being able to open it can get frustrating, especially when the four-digit code remains unsolved and you only vaguely remember a detail from another scene. Jotting things down beats assuming you’ll remember everything. Even a short sequence can get muddled after a few more puzzles.

You’ll revisit scenes often, so the exploration suits players who don’t mind checking an area carefully. If you prefer to open a puzzle and solve it on the spot, leaving to hunt for its clue may test your patience. On the other hand, returning with information you actually know how to use feels good. You’re no longer clicking every corner just in case. You have a specific job to do, and the panel that seemed baffling a moment ago finally gives you somewhere to start. The cartoon artwork uses bold colors and fairly large objects. A little house sits beneath a layered orange roof, flowers fill the foreground, and distant mountains stand against a pink-purple sky. I like that the place stays cheerful even while you’re stuck in it. All those flowers and trees do mean you have to distinguish the scenery from the details that deserve a click, though. On your first pass, you see a pleasant garden. On the next, you’re giving the box, the tree trunk, and even the birds a suspicious look.

Pretty Flower Garden Escape keeps you hanging around with unfinished business. You’ve found the gate and figured out what some of the panels need, so walking away now feels a little premature. Before you go searching for another clue, you might want to check what you’re already carrying. You could have the item you need while you’re still wandering around admiring the flowers.
