Under the scorching desert sun, the clinking glasses inside the saloon suddenly go dead silent as gunshots ring out down the street. Trouble has officially arrived. The notorious outlaw Billy the Kid and his gang of rascals are trying to run the whole town, and as the sheriff, you are the only lawman standing between peace and chaos in Billy The Kid-2 on Woko Games.
The game packs a lot more content than expected, spreading 80 levels across 4 campaign pages with 20 stages each on a 4×5 grid. Starting right at level 1, you have to clear out each ambush to crack open the next locked stage. The dusty frontier town looks great, filled with wooden crates, green cacti, saloon rooftops, and wagons where masked, hat-wearing bandits pop out to take shots at you without warning.
Your job comes down to pure reaction speed: take down enough targets to clear the Wanted bounty, like dropping 20 outlaws before the countdown clock at the top runs dry. Your trusty revolver only holds 5 rounds, meaning you need to time your reloads between enemy waves so you never click on an empty chamber. The trickiest part is target identification. Alongside the armed bandits, the mayor’s blonde daughter in a red dress occasionally peeks out waving for help. One twitchy finger pulling the trigger on an innocent civilian results in an instant mission failed.
Lining up shots with the mouse gets sweaty fast. In one run with just 34 seconds left on the clock and only 5 out of 20 bandits down, outlaws suddenly popped out all at once from behind crates and barrels. I panicked, spammed left-click, and burned through my 5th bullet without counting. Scrambling to hit the reload button while a rooftop shooter took aim at me ended the run right there with a brutal “End of Game” screen.
The blocky 3D cartoon art gives the town a fun, dusty Western feel, backed by crisp gunfire and fast pacing that makes it hard not to hit replay. Dust off your boots, steady your mouse hand, and see how many rounds it takes you to clean up Billy the Kid’s entire crew across all 80 stages!
