One cube, one neon track, and a line of obstacles rushing toward you. Obstacube on Woko Games is an endless runner built around quick reactions, simple controls, and the urge to beat your last score.
You move the cube left and right to avoid whatever appears ahead. There is no finish line. The run keeps going until you hit something, so every extra second counts. Early on, the gaps are easy to read. Later, the speed picks up and one slow move is enough to end the run.
The black background and bright pink neon lines give the track a clean arcade look. Obstacles stand out clearly, which helps at the start, but things get much harder once the pace increases.
Coins appear along the way and can be spent in the shop. The Cube Shop has the default cube plus Blue, Green, Pink, Red, and Orange versions. Each colored cube costs 500 coins.
You can also change the trail behind your cube. Blue, Green, Pink, Red, and Orange trails are available for 500 coins each. They do not affect gameplay, but they look good against the dark neon track.
The Hat Shop is where things get a little sillier. You can buy a Crown, Wizard Hat, Baseball Cap, Party Hat, Beanie Hat, Top Hat, Floating Halo, or even a Traffic Cone. Prices shown in the shop range from 700 to 1,500 coins. A cube wearing a traffic cone will not make you better at dodging, but at least you can crash in style.
When a run ends, the game shows your Score, Coins, and Highscore. In the example shown, the run ends at 17 points with 19 coins and a new high score of 17. Then it is straight back to trying again.
On PC, A and D move the cube left and right. You can also use drag-style swerve controls, while mobile players can swipe on the screen.
Obstacube on Woko Games is easy to understand and gets harder the longer you survive. Ten obstacles feels fine. Fifty feels better. After that, you are probably already chasing your next high score.
